Assessment and Appeals : Assessment Strategies
Assessment Guidelines/Proceedures Performance Feedback Prior Learning Appeals Assessment Strategies
The assessment criteria and the methods by which achievement of the learning outcomes by students are detailed in the Assessment Records Booklet.
The demands of the assessment should be no more than is required to demonstrate competency. Demonstration often requires assessment of the task during performance as well as evaluation of the product.
All modules are described in competency based format and are designed to be assessed on the basis of 'competent' or 'not yet competent' only.

If a qualification is only partially achieved, a College Certificate will be issued for the competencies that have been successfully completed. Training can be continued at a later date and additional competencies added until a full qualification is achieved.

Parties involved in the assessment have the right, under the appeals and reassessment process, to request reassessment at a later time if reasonable grounds are demonstrated for questioning the original outcome.
The appeals and reassessment process must be outlined to the student prior to assessment taking place.
