Assessment and Appeals : Prior Learning
Assessment Guidelines/Proceedures Performance Feedback Prior Learning Appeals Assessment Strategies  
The Eastern Suburbs Community College recognises the right of its students to apply for RPL and that credit may be awarded to other forms of prior learning – in cases where work experience, life experience or courses undertaken outside the College or TAFE systems are related to assessable components of a Accredited course.

Criteria for recognition of prior learning :
Student has actually achieved the Learning Outcome(s)
The Learning Outcome is still valid & performable
The Learning has reached the accepted standard
The Learning is applicable to the area claimed
The Learning Outcome can be applied outside the specific context in which it was learned
A sound connection can be made between the Learning Outcome and the Vocational Outcomes
